Wild Berry Blossom

In spring, a wide array of berry blossoms decorate the forests and shorelines of Pacific Northwest hiking trails, promising a most delicious summer. Edible berries such as blackberry, blueberry, salmon berry, and huckleberry are a dietary staple for many forest critters who rely on them for survival. It's tempting to join in the feast, but do your homework first. Not all berries are human friendly.
