Perfect for getting up close and personal with Mount Baker, the Ptarmigan Ridge Trail takes hikers through perennial snowfields, ancient lava flows, and fields of wildflowers. In winter, Mount Baker and the surrounding area can experience as much as 50 feet of snow, making the trail inaccessible to all except experienced mountaineers.
