In the heart of the Olympic National Park, the lightly traveled Lovers Lane Trail departs Sol Duc Falls and winds its way through towering old growth forest, crossing streams and passing waterfalls along the way. In 1976, the Olympic National Park became an International Biosphere Reserve and in 1981 was designated a World Heritage Site.
