Independence Lake

Early spring morning at Independence Lake. Patches of snow reminded us winter was gone but not forgotten. Budding plants promised summer would find her way even to this remote paradise. As we approached the lake, the roar of a waterfall could be heard. To the left of the log jam, through the trees and brush, we discovered the top of a  waterfall crashing into Coal Creek far, far below. Wild and beautiful, the experience was divine.
