Deception Pass Bridge

An iconic landmark along Puget Sound's rugged north coast, the Deception Pass Bridge, built in 1935, towers 180' over the waters of Skagit Bay and Puget Sound. Boats passing under the bridge must navigate a narrow channel and very strong tidal currents. For those wanting the best views, a narrow walkway runs the entire 1500' length of the two-lane bridge, a daring trek not for the faint of heart.
